"El Oso" Taita Oscar Giovanny Queta

Nephew of Taita Querubín Queta Alvarado (RIP). The world's leading authority and reference on yagé. He has made significant contributions to preserving the customs and traditions of Indigenous Peoples. His sister María Manesita Queta is a wise grandmother who is also dedicated to preserving her A'i Cofán language, customs, and traditions. She is the mother of Oscar Giovanny Queta.

Taita Querubín was the one who guided and instructed him on the path of medicine from childhood.

Taita Oso has dedicated the last 20 years to traveling the world, sharing his culture and helping thousands of people through the science of yagé.

In southern Colombia, in Orito, Putumayo, lies its maloka, where the "Yagé Oso Cofan Camps" have been held for 10 years. These camps take place in January and June.

Undoubtedly, this is a bridge where people from all over the world can come to know where the spirit of Yagé is born, grows, and resides, with its deepest roots.
